One of Molly's favorite parts of the holiday was a visit from Uncle Tim. Don't they look cute together? As promised, he bought her a "loud, annoying toy". Actually he gave her two LeapFrog toys that are great for learning, but would be fine with a sound level of about 20 decibels less. (Since the decibel scale is a logarithmic scale, this equates to an intensity 100 times less. Ahhhhh, physics.) In addition, one of them has no off button. Once it begins singing the ABCs it must finish the song.

Great tip: put duct tape over the speaker to dull the sound by about 10 decibels. 10 times quieter, natch.
I meant 1 decibel. Less funny when it is wrong.
Wait, it is 10 decibels, right? I think my brain has actual rust on it.FE2O3?
Yes, it is 10 dB. :)
